Tutorial on How To Sell BDO Stocks via COLFinancial

In this post, I will be discussing basics on how to buy and sell stocks via COL Financial and providing some examples as well. If you don't have a COL account, you can go to this page in order to learn how to create an account with COL. More articles on how to buy and sell stocks on this page

In this example, I will be selling my BDO shares for just 50%. When you have already COL account you can follow same process below on how to sell your stocks.

Note: Some information are blocked as it is confidential. However, if you have an account already at COL, you can see all your private information as it is your own account.

Step 1: Go to ColFinancial website and type your account number on the User ID box and your Password on the Password box and then click login.

Step 2: When you are successfully log-in. This is what the dashboard looks like. As you can see here, your first reaction will be whoa... what a bunch of data and information I will have to study and analyze... That's a big No! No! All we have to click is just a few basic and simple to follow buttons and these buttons are the ones we will be repeatedly using in the future and transactions to come.

Step 3: To see all of your stocks, first click the "Trade" button, and second, click the "Portfolio" button.

After clicking the "Portfolio" button, you can now see all of your stocks in the market. In my Portfolio I already bought companies, so all corporations that I bought will be shown on the "Portfolio page. You can see it below.

Step 5: To continue our purpose which is to sell 50% of current BDO shares as what the SAM Table told us, please follow the instructions below...

* Click the sell button as shown on the image below

* After clicking the "SELL" button above, here's what you will see. Select the "SELL" radio button as shown on the image, leave the ATO as it is (more on this later). Now beside the stock code, you have to writhe BDO or bdo as this is the stock code of BDO. Now, besides the # of Shares, I'll just put 10, because the 50% of my present BDO shares is only 20 as of now. Then besides the Price, you have to put the highest bid price as indicated below. The general rule when buying and selling is this "Buy at the Ask and Sell at the Bid". The "size" in the bid section are people willing to buy this price, we will cover more on this, later on.

* After you put the price, you need to click the "Preview Order" button

* After clicking the "Preview Order" button, here's what you'll see. If for some reason, you change your mind, you can cancel your order anytime buy clicking the "Cancel Order" button. But if you want to proceed your order, you can go on by putting your password besides the "Enter your password" and then click "Place Sell Order" button.

* After clicking the "Place Sell Order" button, here's what you'll see. You can now see your pending orders as shown below, you can click the OFF-HOURS VIEW ORDERS in order to to verify that your Off-hours order has been accepted. Note that our order here is Off-hours as the market is closed when I made this order. More on Off-hours order later...

* Wew, that's a lot of steps! At first we might be confused or forget some procedure, but as soon as you review it repeatedly, you'll find that it is just very simple as 123.
